Each mission trip to Nicaragua is interesting in its own way. The regions of the small country are vastly different. In Boaco, it is mountainous and occasionally cool in the evenings. In Chinandega, the climate is dry and extremely hot. Matagalpa is mountainous and suffocatingly humid. In the Carribbean Autonomous Zone (BRACS), the climate is very sub-tropical, hot, humid, and the heat comes in waves.
Common to the communities that I have experienced is the constant presence of animals both within the home and around the community. In this gallery, I attempt to show both the beauty and hardships of the country.
