ARTISAN GARLIC BREAD

Start off with an Artisan bread loaf (uncut), you can get it from your local grocery store.  You could also use a fresh Italian bread, multi-grain, whatever.  Cut that thing in half lengthwise and place on a cookie sheet.  Oven should still be at 350, if not, preheat to 350

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf Artisan Bread (fresh)
  • 3-4 cloves of roasted garlic (see instructions below)
  • 1tbsp Italian Seasoning
  • 1 tsp Kosher Salt (to taste)
  • 1 stick butter (softened)
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Mash your garlic clove into a paste with a pistle, or just the bottom of a glass, it should be soft.  Combine with butter, salt and Italian Seasoning.  Mix well.  Spread over the entirety of the bread halves coating all the way to the edges.

Drizzle olive oil over the butter (do not coat entirely).  Put the bread into the oven at 350 and leave there until bread tips become golden brown.  Remove and slice across.

Pro Tip:  Use an electric knife to make slicing the bread much easier.

This should be the last thing you do.  Serve Warm.

Roasting Garlic:  If you did not roast the garlic with the turkey in the oven, slice an entire head across the equator, use aluminum foil pouch and roast at 400 for 20 minutes. Remove and allow to cool.
